The Humane Society of Highlands County is sponsoring their second Terror Trail to be open to the public every Friday and Saturday in October from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. and on Halloween night. Pretend zombies and monsters will jump at visitors along a half-mile trail on the Humane Society property on Airport Road, which is close to the Sebring Regional Airport. There will be cool lighting and sound effects. In the pitch-black darkness of the desolate property, lit only by sparse lighting, those who come out to be spooked will not go home disappointed. Of course not everyone wants to get spooked and scared, not to worry! The Humane Society has taken care of that. A no-scare pumpkin path will be open to younger kids from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Cost is $5.00 per person. Costumes are encouraged.Hours: 13 and under, 4:30-6:00 p.m.; 13 and older 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. Admission: $7.00 adults; $5.00 children.
